A group of students from The Center School, an arts-focused public high school, created a line of teen-oriented products that are now on sale in the Museum Store as part of The Seattle Project. The Frye invited art teacher Wyn Pottinger-Levy and her class of graphic design students in a graphic design and Career Technical Education course to not only design the products, but also work with Store Manager Karla Glanzman to source manufacturers, develop a budget, set retail prices, oversee the production, and design the Store’s exhibit space.
As a result of this project, the teens created a knit-it-yourself iPod sock kit, a Frye-themed T-shirt, and patches and guitar picks using images from the Frye Collection. These products can be purchased now in the Museum Store. For more information about this project, visit The Center School Connection.
