The Frye Art Museum announces a new program for people living with dementia and their care partners which will begin in April 2011. here:now offers a six-part series of tours and art-making activities in the Museum’s exhibitions and art studio as well as monthly gallery tours scheduled once a month in April, May, and June.

Northwest arts leader and Frye Board President Peter Donnelly passes at age 70

The Frye Art Museum mourns the passing of Peter F. Donnelly. Mr. Donnelly joined the Frye Board of Trustees in February 2005 and served as President from October 2006 until his death on Saturday, March 28, 2009.

Honoring and Extending the Legacy of Charles and Emma Frye

As the Frye’s chief curator and director of its exhibitions and collections, I think a lot about what it means to honor and extend the legacy of Charles and Emma Frye. This means going beyond consideration of the question, “What would the Fryes do?” as early-twentieth-century private collectors with a public vision for their art.
