The Great White Disconnect: White Privilege and Hip-Hop

Performance with Cavalier

Thursday, July 31, 2014
7 - 8 pm

Location

Frye Auditorium

Performance by emcee and hip-hop adept Cavalier. Preceded by a discussion with OCnotes exploring the commodification and misappropriation of hip-hop and considering whether removal from its spiritual base will force hip-hop to meet a fate beyond the lessons learned in jazz, R&B, and rock ’n’ roll.
