Mixed Media Construction: Sculpture

Explore building three-dimensional structures using a variety of materials and joining techniques. Students create elegant forms and layered structures that incorporate a variety of media, while discovering the possibilities of using low-tech means for complex and unique vessels, figures, and masks.

Marita Dingus has been subject of solo exhibitions throughout the world. Born in Auburn, Wash., she received a B.F.A. from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and M.A. and M.F.A. degrees from San Jose State University. She was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1999.
