Discover the range of acrylic grounds, gels, and mediums that can be used to create image transfers and gel skins. In this class, students learn how to create image-transfer skins and painted skins and how to transfer images directly onto the surface of a painting. These techniques serve as an excellent way to develop translucent imagery, text, and texture, incorporating layers into paintings, collages, or book arts. Thinking beyond the flat surface, students use many of these same methods to develop sculptural and 3-dimensional artworks.
