Woman as Muse: Albert von Keller and Picasso
Thursday, November 4, 7 pm
Friday, November 5, 11 am
Women appear prominently in the work of both Albert von Keller and Pablo Picasso, although Keller was painting them before Picasso was born. There are intriguing points of comparison in the ways both artists used the female figure as a focus for experimentation.
Tickets
The lecture will be presented on Thursday evening and Friday morning as part of the 2010–11 Art History Lecture Series, which is sold out. To accommodate high demand, the Frye will also present the same lecture on Saturday at 2 pm as an additional public program.
Tickets for the Saturday afternoon lecture are $10 for Frye and SAM members, students, teachers, and working artists; $15 for nonmembers. Seating is very limited. Tickets will go on sale in front of the Frye Auditorium on a first come, first served basis beginning one hour before the lecture begins. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any advance ticket reservations for this program.
A very limited number of standby tickets may be available on a space-available basis for the Thursday evening and Friday morning lectures. See the Art History Lecture Series with Rebecca Albiani page for full standby ticket information for these lectures.
