In a curious instance of moving forward by looking backward, the socially and artistically progressive Pre-Raphaelites, who formed their association in the revolutionary year 1848, aimed to advance art by adopting medieval and early Renaissance models.

Individual tickets may be available for purchase on a space-available basis on the day of each lecture. Tickets are released first-come, first-served. Individual tickets for each Thursday evening lecture and reception are $11 members, seniors, students, teachers, artists; $16 nonmembers. Individual tickets for Friday morning lectures are $10 members, seniors, students, teachers, artists; $15 nonmembers.
