The Olmecs were the first great Mesoamerican civilization, flourishing in south-central Mexico between about 1400 BCE and 400 CE. Their ruling elite left a stunning array of distinctive art objects, from striking jade masks to enormous basalt heads.

Individual tickets may be available for purchase on a space-available basis on the day of each lecture. Tickets are released first-come, first-served. Individual tickets for each Thursday evening lecture and reception are $11 members, seniors, students, teachers, artists; $16 nonmembers. Individual tickets for Friday morning lectures are $10 members, seniors, students, teachers, artists; $15 nonmembers.
