Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) is a research-based teaching method that improves critical thinking skills through discussions of art. Participants develop deeper paraphrasing and linking skills. Additional attention is paid to image selection to address the needs and interests of various audiences. Participants must have attended an introductory VTS workshop, facilitated a minimum of ten hours of VTS discussions, and indicate level of proficiency by submitting a videotape of an image discussion.
