Art in Your Classroom

Let the Frye bring art to your classroom! Our experienced Teaching Artist will visit your classroom for a student-centered and inquiry-based discussion and a hands-on art-making activity. Designed as a stand-alone program or as a Museum pre-visit or post-visit experience, lessons can either connect to a classroom topic to enrich the learning experience or be a part of your School Visit to the Museum. Multiple sessions can be scheduled to create a scaffolded learning experience.

Past lessons include Textile Design & Printmaking (K–1st), Architecture Study & Printmaking (Pre-K–2nd), Animal/Plant Studies & Observational Drawing (Pre-k–5th), Texture Exploration & Collage (Pre-K–1st), Hybrid Animal Design & Puppet Making (2nd-5th) , and Paper Engineering & Sculpture (2nd–5th).

This 75-minute long program serves pre-k through 5th grade, for a class up to 25 students. It can be adapted for multiple sessions, as well as after-school programs and winter/summer camps.

Offered Monday-Thursday, year-round. $90/class of 25 students.
