In a partnership between the Frye and Community Cinema Seattle, cutting-edge documentaries are previewed each month, for free, prior to their airing on the Emmy Award-winning PBS show Independent Lens. As part of an initiative in more than sixty cities nationwide, Community Cinema, presented by the Independent Televisions Service, encourages dialogue and action around important and timely social issues. All screenings are followed by panel discussions with community-based organizations or special guest speakers, and additional information and resources are available to frame issues of national and global concern for local audiences.
