This work aims to showcase the process, progression, and product of a new dance. Over the course of the work you will watch a new dance be created and performed. This work features Pacific Northwest Ballet Professional Division students and a selection of songs by musical group Animals as Leaders.
Commissioned by the Frye Art Museum and funded by the Frye Foundation.
About the Organization
Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB), one of the largest and most highly regarded ballet companies in the United States, was founded in 1972. In 2005, Peter Boal became Artistic Director, succeeding Kent Stowell and Francia Russell, Artistic Directors since 1977. The Company presents performances each year of full-length and mixed repertory ballets at McCaw Hall and on tour. Under the direction of Mr. Boal, PNB has continued to expand and diversify its repertory to add works by Ulysses Dove, William Forsythe, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Justin Peck, Crystal Pite, Alexei Ratmansky, Twyla Tharp, Christopher Wheeldon and others.
