In These Times, In This Place, On This Land

Discussion with Inye Wokoma

Saturday, August 20, 2016
2:00 – 3:00 pm

On the occasion of Inye Wokoma: This Is Who We Are, Frye Art Museum presents an intimate discussion exploring ideas of family, spirituality, migration, the politics of displacement and resistance, and how these concepts construct and shape identity over time. Organized in collaboration with Inye Wokoma, this discussion will feature members of the artist's family who form the visual and narrative spine of the work, project collaborators Erwin Thomas and Natasha Marin, and colleagues active in Seattle's social justice community whose work relates directly to the ideas explored in the project.
