There’s a chill in the air and the leaves are falling. The days are getting shorter and the nights so much longer and darker. That can mean only one thing: it’s time once again for the Frye's Halloween-themed tours! This tour explores current exhibitions with an eye to the darker, mystical recesses of the human psyche. Step inside a world of temptresses and enchanting occultists in Unsettling Femininity: Selections from the Frye Art Museum Collection, and view American outsiders through the strange and tender lens of Diane Arbus, refracted further through the art world funhouse mirror of Pierre Leguillon in his exhibition Arbus Bonus. If we look closely and deeply, we often find the people we are taught to fear are not so monstrous after all. Or are they? Come find out at the Frye. This tour will engage with mature subject matter and is intended for participants 16 years and older.
