Studio Art Classes
If you are interested in experimenting with your own artistic practice, you will find studio art classes at the Frye Art Museum that challenge, stimulate, and inspire.
Studio art classes are taught by professional artists with a passion for sharing their skills and expertise. These acclaimed artists lead lively workshops, provide individual instruction, and encourage students to cultivate their artistic aspirations.
Join a creative community at the Frye and earn continuing-education graduate-level credits or clock hours for recertification through Seattle Pacific University.

Credit and Clock Hours
Continuing education credits and clock hours are available to educators through Seattle Pacific University (SPU).
Payments for fees are paid directly to SPU on the first day of the series. Do not include payment for fees with your registration. Courses taken for credit or clock hours through Seattle Pacific University may not be repeated. One SPU credit is the equivalent of ten hours of instruction. SPU does not issue half credits.
$50 per credit
$15 for 3–9 clock hours
$20 for 10–19 clock hours
$40 for 20–29 clock hours

Advance registration required. Due two weeks before the first day of course or class. To ensure registration, submit completed form and full payment. Space is limited. Registration confirmed by email or mailed receipt.
The Frye Art Museum reserves the right to cancel any course or class. If the Museum cancels a course or class, a full refund will be issued. If participant cancels enrollment more than two weeks prior to start date, a full refund will be issued, less a $25 processing fee. No refunds issued with less than two weeks’ notice. To cancel registration, call 206 432 8200 between 9 am–5 pm Monday–Friday.
