Drop-in Art Making: Mysterious Mixed Media Portraiture

Seattle Art + Culture Week Event

Celebrate Art + Culture Week at the Frye with a bold foray into mixed media portraiture. Bring a friend and discover new ways of seeing each other through the power of close observation. Experiment with a buffet of beautiful lokta, mulberry, banana leaf, and kozo paper, drawing ink, brushes, and more. Drop in and stay as long as you like!

Coming solo? We’ve got you covered with a still life setup—perfect for practicing your painting skills with a mix of interesting objects. For inspiration in the realm of the uncanny and mysterious portraiture, be sure to visit Jamie Wyeth: Unsettled before heading to the art studio.

Art + Culture Week is a festival dedicated to uplifting Seattle’s makers and the organizations that define and enrich the city through their work.
