Available Spaces

Auditorium: 

Perfect for an intimate concert, screening, or presentation, this raised stage auditorium features fixed seating, superb acoustics, projection and A/V capabilities, and an available Schimmel Grand Piano (additional fee required). 142 fixed seats plus wheelchair spaces.

MariPili at Café Frieda:

Have a rare dining experience in this artfully designed space, equally suited to a formal, seated meal or a casual cocktail reception. Galician-inspired catering from award-winning chef Grayson Corrales and the MariPili team available. Dining capacity: 60, Reception capacity: 85.

Courtyard:

Take your party outside to the beautiful, open-air courtyard featuring a unique moss dome. Dining capacity: 35, Reception capacity: 65.

Studio:

Boasting an industrial chic feel with plenty of natural light, the museum studio is perfect for team building retreats, workshops, or an art-making class lead by Frye teaching artists (not included in rental fee). Food and beverage allowed. Seated capacity: 50, Reception capacity: 75.

Frye Parlor:

Add extra space to your café, auditorium, or courtyard rental with this artist-designed social hub that invites you to relax, recharge, and engage. Food and beverage allowed.

Museum Galleries:

Make the party more arty! Upgrade your access to include the entire museum, give your guests the opportunity to stroll the galleries privately, and increase your guest capacity beyond reception restrictions. View the exhibitions calendar to determine which shows will be on view during your event.

Rental FAQs

Yes you can! All rental rates are for a 4-hour period, including load-in and load-out. Additional hours can be added for an extra hourly fee.

After hours venue rentals at the museum are available Wednesday and Friday–Sunday. Venue rentals during our open hours are available Wednesday–Sunday. 

Days the Frye is not open (Monday–Tuesday) can be rented, but please note that you’ll need to do a full buyout of the museum in order to staff the museum. For any full buyout rental, we’ll need at least 30 days' notice. Please contact us to confirm event date availability.

Yes, of course! Feel free to visit our space anytime during our open hours Wednesday–Sunday for a self-guided tour. If you'd like a more detailed tour, please Special Events Coordinator Nat Miller at nmiller@fryemuseum.org to schedule a site visit.

Fully wheelchair accessible, multi-stall restrooms are located past the Auditorium near the Columbia St. doors. Restrooms in the hallway by the Museum Store are temporarily closed as we renovate them to meet state administrative code requirements for gender-neutral restrooms. In the meantime, we invite you to please use the bathroom that most closely aligns with your gender identity.

Yes. We are fully ADA compliant with a ramp at our front entrance and automated doors leading into the museum. The café and galleries of the museum are all on one level floor.

There are 3 pay-to-park lots within a 3-minute walk of the museum. In front and on the streets adjacent to the north and south of our building, as well as within a 3+ block radius, you will find 2-hour pay-to-park street parking. The Frye Art Museum is located in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood, close to downtown, Capitol Hill, and many public transportation options.
