In 1988, the Guerilla Girls listed “Knowing your career might pick up after you’re eighty” as one of their satirical “Advantages to Being a Woman Artist.” In honor of Katherine Bradford, who turned 80 last year, we will look at the late careers of some important women artists, such as Alma Thomas, Louise Bourgeois, and Carmen Herrera.
