Meet Me at the Movies

Meet Me at the Movies

Celebrate the magic of film in this entertaining and inspiring program, open to all older adults, including those living with memory loss. Meet Me at the Movies features themed film clips that spark imagination and memories, followed by a facilitated audience discussion.

The theme for our summer program is The Magic of Music in Film. Clips include a scene from the 1943 film Stormy Weather featuring Cab Calloway and the Nicholas Brothers, iconic dance scenes from Singing in the Rain (1952) and An American in Paris (1951), and a lively clip from the 2002 film adaptation of the Broadway musical Chicago, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Renée Zellweger.

We’re thrilled to welcome our guest co-host, Steve Wilson, Community Liaison and Care Navigator at Nolia Health. While he now supports individuals navigating memory loss, he previously worked as a music therapist and remains a devoted fan of stage and film musicals.
