Meet Me at the Movies

Meet Me at the Movies

Celebrate the magic of film in this entertaining and inspiring program, open to all older adults, including those living with memory loss. Meet Me at the Movies features themed film clips that spark imagination and memories, followed by a facilitated audience discussion.

The theme for the fall program is Vacations and Travel in Film. Clips include scenes that transport viewers across the globe, from Roman Holiday (1953) to Lost in Translation (2003), set in Tokyo. Participants will journey to Antarctica with National Geographic and meet Gidget (1953) at the beach.

We’re thrilled to welcome our guest co-host, Marigrace Becker, Director of the Memory Hub; Program Manager for Community Education and Impact for UW Memory and Brain Wellness Center. When Marigrace isn’t facilitating wonderful Memory Hub events, she likes to travel both in the PNW and abroad. We hope to hear some of her travel stories during our event.
