Enjoy a morning of art, conversation, and discovery with the curatorial team as we explore the beloved Frye Salon’s rich legacy of creativity and experimentation. Guided by Director and Curator of Collections Faith Brower, journey through Frye Salon's innovative past and present, from Charles and Emma Frye’s First Hill home to the current exhibition Frye Salon + Jonathan Lasker.

Then meet Dr. Rangsook Yoon, our new Senior Director of Curatorial Affairs, who will share her fresh take on the Founding Collection, along with historical perspectives on salon culture.

About the Presenters

Faith Brower, Director and Curator of Collections at the Frye Art Museum, works with the museum’s Founding Collection and its contemporary art holdings. Drawing on her background in modern and contemporary art and specializing in curating exhibitions, Brower aims to make museum collections relevant and meaningful to contemporary audiences.

Dr. Rangsook Yoon, the Senior Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Frye Art Museum, leads the curatorial, collections, and registration teams. She oversees exhibition planning and the study, care, growth, and diversification of the Frye’s collection, with a focus on innovative collaborations and accessible, engaging exhibitions.
