Salon Supper
This event is sold out.
Join us for an extraordinary evening of culinary delights, poetic play, and community—all in support of contemporary art, artists, and the Frye Art Museum.
Experience the rare opportunity to dine in Frye Salon, the dramatic floor-to-ceiling display of paintings from the Frye’s collection, where you’ll commune with other passionate art enthusiasts and rub elbows with local artists while enjoying a meal from one of Seattle’s most innovative chefs.
Following cocktails in the courtyard, enjoy a multi-course supper designed by Chef Sean Arakaki and inspired by the tastes and traditions of Japan, Hawaii, and other cultures. Paired wines chosen by Chef Arakaki will enhance the cuisine, which he describes as mukokuseki, meaning “no nation” in Japanese—a nod to the blending of eastern and western flavors found in Seattle’s rich Chinatown-International District (C-ID) food scene that Itsumono calls home.
Interwoven throughout the evening, poetic prompts and music will offer playful moments for reflection and connection—culminating in a shared invitation to support the Frye and its mission to connect Seattle with the art and artists of our time.
Featured Chef

Chef and co-owner Sean Arakaki’s menu at Itsumono spans Japan, Hawaii, the Pike-Pine corridor, American Chinese fare, the American South, the Chinatown-International District and Italy. Classics are mashed up with street food, cultures fearlessly crossed.
Growing up in Hilo, Hawaii, Arakaki’s decade of cooking experience involved time in the Midwest until he moved to Seattle in 2016 after graduating culinary school. His Seattle restaurant journey started at The Rainier Club. He then went on to Canlis and Eden Hill before taking over Itsumono in 2019.
