Clarissa Tossin frequently employs motifs from Maya art. The Late Classic Period, roughly 600–900 CE, represents the full flowering of the art and architecture of the Maya civilization, with magnificent pyramid complexes, intricate sculpture, stunning murals, and spectacular grave goods. Clarissa Tossin: to take root among the stars will be on view at the Frye October 7, 2023–January 7, 2024.
