Family Field Trip to the Frye + Small Frye
Field trips aren’t just for kids! Bring the whole family to the Frye for a multisensory, creative journey at the Frye Art Museum.
Have little ones ages 2-5? Start the day with the magic of Small Frye story drama. Siblings welcome!
Afterwards, kids of all ages and adults can enjoy a hands-on collage art activity and gallery discussions. This fun and inspiring event promises to spark new ideas and creative energy!

Small Frye Story Drama in the Art Studio (designed for ages 2-5 and caregivers). We will be reading Last Stop on Market Street by by Matt de la Peña, illustrated by Christian Robinson.
This program is presented in collaboration with Seattle Children’s Theatre.
11:45 am–1:00 pm
All ages art-making activity in the Art Studio.
Using materials like feathers, Model Magic, pipe cleaners, and washi tape across a range of interactive stations, explore textures and create unique collage pieces inspired by Last Stop on Market Street and the community spirit of exhibition Recent Acquisitions.
Noon–1:00 pm
Drop-in discussions in the Galleries.
