ART HISTORY LECTURE SERIES WITH REBECCA ALBIANI

After visiting an enormous exhibition of Japanese woodblock prints in Paris in 1890, American-born Impressionist Cassatt threw herself into creating color prints. She approached her characteristic subjects of motherhood and women’s everyday experience with experimental panache, creating complex, multi-technique etchings of great verve.
