Collection Research

Records related to the Frye Art Museum collections are managed by the Head of Collections. Inquiries about specific artworks or artists should be directed to collections@fryemuseum.org. The Collections Department also manages the Museum Archives and the Curatorial Library. The archives contain documents related to the history of Charles and Emma Frye and their business interests, as well as the history of the Frye Art Museum and its programs. The library contains more than 2,300 publications related to the Museum’s collections, exhibitions, and related topics.

The Museum Archives and the Curatorial Library are available for scholarly researchers by appointment only. Inquiries should be sent to collections@fryemuseum.org.
