Family Field Trip to the Frye + Small Frye

Pre-registration for the Small Frye portion of this program is required and will open approximately one month prior to the event. 

Field trips aren’t just for kids! Bring the whole family to the Frye for a multisensory, creative journey at the Frye Art Museum.

Have little ones ages 2-5? Start the day with the magic of Small Frye story drama! 

Afterwards, kids of all ages and adults can enjoy drop-in, hands-on art making and gallery discussions. This fun and inspiring event promises to spark new ideas and creative energy! 

11:15–11:45 am
Small Frye Story Drama in the Art Studio (designed for ages 2-5 and caregivers). Registration Required.
This program is presented in collaboration with Seattle Children’s Theatre.

11:45 am–1:00 pm
Art-making activity in the Art Studio for all ages.

Noon–1:00 pm
Drop-in discussions in the Galleries.

Drop-in art-making and gallery discussions do not require registration.  

If registration for Small Frye Story Drama is full, you may arrive starting at 11 am on the morning of the program to join a stand-by list. If space is available, stand-by participants will be admitted at 11:15 am. Entry is not guaranteed.

Registration

Tickets are free, but capacity is limited. Up to four tickets per person may be reserved prior to the program. Preregistration will close at 11:59 pm PT the night prior to the program. Parking can be an issue in our area, so please plan your visit accordingly. All unclaimed tickets (regardless of reservations) will be released to standby at 11:15 am on the morning of the program.   

Frye Members receive advance notice of programs and performances—become a member today and get the benefit of early registration!

On-site Ticketing Policy
Doors will open at 11 am on the morning of the event and preregistered guests can check in at that time. If the program is sold out, walk-ins will be able to join a standby list on a first-come-first-served basis. Unclaimed tickets (regardless of registration) will be released to standby at the start of the the program. Preregistered guests should arrive early to secure their tickets.
