Special Guests

Meet Nikita Ares, the current Museum Store alcove artist, and learn about her practice and featured piece The Traces of You. Nikita Ares is a Seattle-based painter originally from Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, who received her BFA from Cornish College of the Arts in 2018. Her work, deeply rooted in the symbiosis between movement and energy, explores the intricate relationship between these forces. Through her use of traditional and modern techniques in painting and drawing, she captures the vibrations and dynamics of people, objects, and nature. Her intention is to depict the bond between the flow of energy and the chaos of movement, inviting viewers to expand their awareness.

Wax Witch aka Isabela Garcia is your favorite Seattle-born DJ, promoter, and event curator with a reputation for delivering magnetic performances with heaving hitting sounds. She focuses on underground cultures through a distinct genre blending style while imprinting her signature flirty femme forward sound. Isabela is the founder of the popular girl powered dance party Babe Night where she focuses on community engagement and activism in her local community. She will be spinning records in the Foyer from 6:30–8:30 pm.
