Meet Me at the Movies
At the Frye Art Museum
Our winter Meet Me at the Movies program will feature film clips and inspired conversation on the theme of Love, including the acclaimed American variety/sketch comedy The Carol Burnett Show (1967–1978), an epic scene between Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers from Irving Berlin’s musical comedy film Top Hat (1935), an iconic romantic exchange between Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca (1942), and finally a clip from the popular seasonal romcom Love, Actually (2003). Join us as we view and discuss these scenes that explore the myriads of emotions that accompany being in love with something or someone.
Entertaining, inspiring, and uplifting, Meet Me at the Movies is a free, interactive film program that celebrates the wonder of film and its ability to connect us with life’s experiences and imagination.
Designed for people with memory loss and care partners, this program can be enjoyed by all adults. Theme-based clips from classic and contemporary films are shown, followed by a lively audience conversation.
