Voices of the Danube: Dunava Performance and Discussion

Pre-registration for this program has ended. A block of walk-in tickets will be available on site beginning 30 minutes before the performance on a first-come-first-served basis. Please take note of additional ticketing and registration policies at the bottom of the page.

Dunava (from Дунав, the Bulgarian name for the Danube river) is a Balkan women's choir, comprised of singers with a passion for intricate harmonies and varying vocal technique. Dunava is dedicated to studying and performing traditional folk music from Eastern Europe with respect, and introducing audiences to these beautiful vocal traditions and songs.

Join us for a very special evening featuring a performance by these incredible singers and a conversation with Darek Mazzone, co-founder of the cultural non-profit SAMA (Seattle Sacred Music & Art) and DJ of the Wo’Pop show on Seattle’s KEXP 90.3 FM.

About SAMA
This event is presented in partnership with Seattle Sacred Music & Art (SAMA), which produces, promotes, and celebrates the healing power of global sacred music through live and streamed events. They partner with music and arts presenters in the Pacific Northwest and around the world, connecting artists with Seattle communities. SAMA believes music among other art forms can bring about cross-cultural understanding, interesting dialogue, and healing.
