Membership FAQs

After careful consideration, we have chosen to update membership pricing to better reflect the increased costs of our programming and enhance our reach across new and returning audiences. Having not increased membership pricing in over a decade, this update will help us support our Learning & Engagement programs and enable us to continue to provide world-class presentations of artists and diverse thinkers. 

Support from our members makes it possible for us to care for the museum’s collection, present cutting-edge contemporary exhibitions, support local artists, and offer inclusive programs for the community—all while remaining Seattle’s only free art museum.

We have partnered with Cuseum to provide you with a seamless digital membership experience!

FOR IPHONE USERS
STEP 1
Open the email you received about your digital card on your iPhone.
STEP 2
Look for the button that says “Download Membership Card”. A page in your browser will open with an “Add to Wallet” button. Tap this button and then tap “Add” at the top right corner of your screen to save the card to your app.
STEP 3
You can now close the page, by tapping “Done” in the top left corner.
STEP 4
To use your card, return to your home screen. Open the Wallet app, which is pre-installed on all iOS devices. Your Frye membership card should appear in the wallet’s contents. If your digital membership card isn’t the first thing you see when you open your Wallet app, swipe right or left to scroll until you see your membership card.

Note: If you can’t find the Wallet App, swipe left on your home screen until you see a search bar on your screen. Type “Wallet” into the search bar and click the wallet icon that appears under applications. 

FOR ANDROID USERS
STEP 1
If you haven’t already, download the WalletPasses app from Google Play.
STEP 2
When you’ve installed the app, open the email you received with your digital card on your Android device.
STEP 3
Follow the same steps as outlined above for iPhone users.

SHARING YOUR DIGITAL CARD
If your membership level includes two membership cards and we only have one email address on file, you will receive two emails each containing a digital card for one member. You can either forward the email to the second cardholder or download the card onto your device and then share it.

To share a digital card you’ve already downloaded, follow these steps:
STEP 1
Tap the button located either at the top right or bottom right of the card you want to share.
STEP 2
Click “Share Pass” and choose to send the card via text message or email to the secondary cardholder.
STEP 3
Once the message has been received, the second cardholder will need to open the attachment of the digital card.
STEP 4
Once the attachment has been opened, tap “Add” to save the card on their device.
