The Frye is proud to debut an all-new body of work from the internationally recognized artist Tarrah Krajnak. Known for work that blends photography, performance, and poetry, Krajnak uses her body to reimagine and respond to iconic moments in photographic history and to challenge traditions of Western art history. With a keen instinct for the lyric as well as the political potential of image making, Krajnak reshapes the boundaries of contemporary photography.

ABOUT THE BOREN BANNER SERIES

The Boren Banner Series reflects the museum’s commitment to showcasing work by Pacific Northwest artists. This biannual series gives regional artists the opportunity to present a piece as a monumental, 16 x 20 ft. vinyl “banner” alongside an exhibition of related works inside the museum. The billboard-size artwork is prominently sited facing Boren Avenue, the Frye’s most visible and accessible physical interface.

Boren Banner Series: Tarrah Krajnak is organized by Georgia Erger, Curator.
