Making a Bequest

Making a Bequest

Estate gifts (bequests) of all sizes are beneficial to the Frye Art Museum and ensure a legacy of free admission, outstanding exhibitions and education and community programs for people across our community.

The wording of your bequest will vary depending upon the type of gift you want to make. Examples of appropriate language are below, and we encourage you to consult with a qualified attorney or advisor to draft or review your language with respect to applicable federal and state laws and your wishes for intended use.

Unless otherwise specified, bequests will be unrestricted, and used wherever most needed, including for general operations for the museum. If you desire, you may designate your gift for a specific purpose, including for School and Family Programs. Creative Aging and Adult Programs, or Acquisitions.

SAMPLE LANGUAGE:

"I give to the Frye Art Museum, a Washington state nonprofit corporation located at 704 Terry Avenue, Seattle, Washington 98104, _____ per cent of my estate."

RESIDUARY BEQUEST:
