Meet Me at the Movies

Meet Me at the Movies

Entertaining, inspiring, and uplifting, Meet Me at the Movies is an interactive film program that celebrates the wonder of film and its ability to connect us with life’s experiences and imagination. Designed for people with memory loss and their care partners, this program can be enjoyed by all adults. Theme-based clips from classic and contemporary films are shown, followed by facilitated audience discussion. Presented with Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.

The August program will feature a series of film clips with facilitated discussion on the theme of sports, including equestrian adventure in National Velvet, the inspiring wartime story of women in baseball in A League of their Own, and humor and culture clashing on a London football team in Bend It Like Beckham. This free, quarterly program is fun for all ages and designed for people living with memory loss. Registration is not required.

Registration is not required for this event.

The Creative Aging Programs are made possible with support from the estate of M. Jean Fisher, Richard & Maude Ferry Charitable Foundation, and Aging Wisdom. Additional support is provided by the Frye Foundation and Frye Art Museum members.
