Jazz in the City | The Paul Richardson Trio

Jazz in the City | The Paul Richardson Trio

A lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest, Paul Richardson is best known for his skills as a great keyboardist. He’s worked with a diverse group of pop and jazz legends throughout his career, including Herbie Hancock, The Headhunters, Ernestine Andersen, Charles Lloyd, Maya Angelou, and Blood, Sweat and Tears, to name a few. Paul’s solo work and ensembles continue to be a benchmark for local groups in the area. No matter whom he plays with, Paul Richardson brings elements of his trademark sensibilities to each and every project he contributes to.

“I try to approach everything in a unique way—from compositions to arrangements. Just as in my own music, I try to bring a lot of diverse elements to the party, and give 110 percent," he says.

Jazz in the City at the Frye Art Museum is a dynamic performance series presented in partnership with Ariel Media. This series celebrates the rich legacy, enduring vibrancy, and profound cultural impact of jazz music in shaping Seattle’s artistic identity.

Generous support for Jazz in the City is provided by Frye members. Media support is provided by KNKX.

Ticketing Philosophy
Beginning in 2025, the Jazz in the City series will move to a ticketed policy to ensure retention and support the program.

The museum uses a tiered fee structure for select events. Charging moderate fees allows the museum to invest in diverse and engaging programming, supports program costs, and helps us maximize event attendance. If you are able, we ask that you purchase a General Admission ticket; Community Access pricing is available to keep program tickets accessible. A limited number of no-cost tickets are available. If ticket cost is an issue for you for any reason, please contact learning@fryemuseum.org.
