The first Friday morning of each month at the Frye is dedicated to connection, creativity, and community for older adults. Start your day with coffee and conversation, followed by gallery exploration and engaging discussions. End with hands-on art making in the studio, led by professional teaching artists. 

Open to all over the age of 60, this program promises to leave you feeling inspired, connected, and empowered, with a unique memento to take home.

This Coffee and Creativity Program will be centered around the theme of Playful Pauses, inspired by Dawn Cerny: Portmeirion. Participants will explore the art of shibori as a vehicle for mark-making and leave with a textile reminiscent of their investigations of “playful pauses” at the Frye.
