Coffee & Creativity

Coffee & Creativity

The first Friday morning of each month at the Frye is dedicated to connection, creativity, and community for older adults. Start your day with coffee and conversation, followed by gallery exploration and engaging discussions. End with hands-on art making in the studio, led by professional teaching artists.

Open to all over the age of 60, this program promises to leave you feeling inspired, connected, and empowered, with a unique memento to take home.

This Coffee and Creativity Program is inspired by the 2025 Seattle Reads selection You Are Here: Poetry in the Natural World by Ada Limón, in collaboration with The Seattle Public Library. Participants will explore visual poems and create a cut paper diptych inspired by observational viewing in Frye Salon and Jayme Yen’s design process in the new Frye Parlor space.

Pre-reading the book is not required, but if you would like to you may learn more about obtaining a copy here.
