Frye Parlor x Jayme Yen
March 27, 2025 - January 31, 2027
Introducing Frye Parlor—a space for connection that’s part lounge, part experimental installation. This artist-designed social hub invites you to relax, recharge, and engage in a setting that blurs the boundaries between art and experience.
The inaugural concept by Jayme Yen draws inspiration from the Frye Salon to create an interactive environment where painting, design, and language merge in playful dialogue. Through poetic phrases, reflective surfaces, and vibrant color fields, the space invites you to see yourself as part of the art.
Extending beyond the museum’s formal galleries, Frye Parlor spans the common areas linking the auditorium, café, and art studio. Every two years, a new artist will reimagine its custom decor and furnishings, ensuring the space continues to evolve as a dynamic site.
Frye Parlor x Jayme Yen is organized by Tamar Benzikry, Director and Curator of Learning and Engagement, with Shane Montgomery, Director of Architecture and Public Space, and Ingrid Langston, Director of Communications and Strategic Planning.
Generous support provided by ArtsFund and Guendolen Carkeek Plestcheeff Fund for the Decorative and Design Arts.
