Meet Me at the Movies

Meet Me at the Movies

At the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art

This event takes place at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. The same program will take place at the Frye Art Museum on August 13, 2025.

Entertaining, inspiring, and uplifting, Meet Me at the Movies is a free, interactive film program that celebrates the wonder of film and its power to connect us to life’s experiences and boundless imagination.

Designed for people with memory loss and their care partners, this program can be enjoyed by all adults. Each session features themed clips from classic and contemporary films, followed by lively and meaningful audience discussions.

Our summer Meet Me at the Movies program will include film clips and inspired conversation focusing on people and places of the Pacific Northwest, featuring iconic sites like Mount Rainier in 2009 documentary The Mountain. We’ll also view and discuss three films that highlight our breathtaking regional landscape and celebrated history, including The Boys of ‘36 based on the book Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown, a documentary about Warren Miller called Tribute to the Pioneers of Skiing, and the critically acclaimed film A River Runs Through It.
