A Message from Executive Director Jamilee Lacy:

Dear Friend of the Frye,

As the year comes to a close, I’m filled with gratitude for all that you have made possible in 2025. Together, we’ve faced a year of change with creativity and optimism, and your belief in the Frye’s mission has kept our work vibrant and forward-looking.

Because of you, the museum remains a place where artists find a platform, diverse perspectives are celebrated, and art continues to inspire. Your generosity and support underscore that community is at the heart of everything we do.

Amplifying the Art and Artists of our Time

At the Frye, we are proud to amplify the voices of living artists—those whose creativity connects us, challenges us, and reminds us why art matters. Priscilla Dobler Dzul’s debut solo museum exhibition currently features work interweaving ancient knowledge with contemporary perspective to explore urgent stories of environmental harm, cultural justice, and interconnectedness. In the face of global challenges, exhibitions like this can spark dialogue, and even inspire action, in our region and beyond.

“This museum is an urban oasis that celebrates art in an intimate way that is very rare.” -Frye Visitor

Inspiring Connection with Radical Hospitality

Our commitment to accessibility has long been at the heart of our mission. Free and open to all since Day 1, the Frye ensures that art and creative experiences are available to everyone, regardless of age, background, or ability. This dedication shapes all that we do—from expanding our collection to include a greater diversity of voices to producing programs that foster well-being and belonging through art.

Our special conversation series Ground Floor is one of many ways we center our local creative community. Highlighting artists who build creative spaces from the ground up, this December 11 program features Von Coffin, DK Pan, Maria Phillips, and Amanda Manitach in conversation about the innovation, resourcefulness, and collaboration that defines what it means to be an artist in the Seattle area today.

These unique community programs offer meaningful opportunities to meet artists, explore works on view, and connect with fellow art lovers. Through performances, artist talks, intergenerational field trips, hands-on workshops, and offerings for older adults and people living with dementia, the Frye provides unique interdisciplinary experiences for all ages.

Your Support Makes it Possible

Our donors provide critical support that makes every achievement possible. Your generosity brings programs, exhibitions, and experiences to life—enriching our community and ensuring access for all. Because of you, the Frye can uplift artists and enable audiences of all backgrounds to engage deeply with art in transformative ways.

I invite you to join us in continuing this vital work. If you’re inspired to give, make a December gift to help the Frye finish the year strong. You can now double your impact thanks to a generous matching challenge from Rafael Soldi and Vincent Sagisi, and a friend of the Frye. All donations up to $25,000 will be matched through December 31!

Support The Frye

Together, let us continue to shape the cultural life of our community—centering art as a catalyst for bold ideas and meaningful connection.

With gratitude,
