Adventures in Acrylic
Painting workshop inspired by the works of Katherine Bradford
View the galleries and get inspired by the work of Katherine Bradford, then swan dive headfirst into the world of acrylic painting. Experiment with color, mixing, shading, and form with instructor Cooper Lanza, to create your own work to take home. Students will learn how to use graphite pencils along with acrylic paints in this half-day workshop. No experience is necessary, and all levels are welcome. The minimum age for participation is 14.
One of the hallmarks of acrylic paint is that it’s quick drying, and hard to get out of fabric so students should arrive wearing clothes that they don’t mind getting dirty. Come see what you can create!
Supplies will be provided.
The Frye is committed to this program being financially accessible for everyone. If the cost of this workshop is prohibitive for your participation, a sliding scale is available. Please contact education@fryemuseum.org for more information.
