Parent/Art Docent Workshops

The Frye Education Department offers occasional public workshops designed for parent volunteers teaching art in Pre-K–12 classrooms. Frye Educators will provide training in facilitating inquiry-based discussions and leading student-centered art-making lessons, sharing best practices for building 21st century skills through close observation, open-ended discussion, and hands-on exploration. Parents will leave with an understanding of student engagement, project ideas, and strategies for teaching art in the classroom.

To request a workshop for your group, please contact education@fryemuseum.org. Costs vary by program. Three weeks advanced registration is required.
