Tech Atelier
Tech Atelier is a new Frye affinity group that brings together patrons, artists, technologists, creative entrepreneurs, and other curious minds who are passionate about the intersections of art, technology, and craft through historical and contemporary creative practice.
Inspired by the historic artist’s atelier—a place of experimentation, making, and exchange—Tech Atelier offers behind-the-scenes access the artists, designers, engineers, conservators, and makers whose collaborations bring ambitious ideas to life.
How does Tech Atelier work?
In its inaugural year, Tech Atelier unfolds through three complementary program models designed to cultivate community, spark interdisciplinary exchange, and build lasting relationships:
- Salons: intimate gatherings where big ideas meet small groups
- Field Trips: access artist studios, fabrication shops, research labs, and other sites of innovation rarely seen by the public
- Tech Atelier Events: artists and audiences come together for public talks, demonstrations, and workshops at the Frye.
