Art History Lecture Series | Piero della Francesca’s Legend of the True Cross

Art History Lectures Series with Rebecca Albiani

You’ve seen the Sistine Chapel, but do you know the Bacci Chapel? Between 1452 and 1466, artist Piero della Francesca created a fresco cycle relating stories of the Christian cross in the church of San Francesco, Arezzo, in which images of radiant faith alternate with scenes of warfare and violence.
