Formations Educator Workshop
Formation is the process of breaking down or combining different things to create something new—a daily practice for teachers! In this workshop, we will reflect on how disparate themes of vulnerability and strength are at play in our own teaching practices. We’ll start with a tour of special exhibition Kelly Akashi: Formations, led by Chief Curator Amanda Donnan, and then head up to the art studio for a hands-on candle making session with Seattle maker Calico Botanicals.
This workshop is for educators of any age group and in both formal and informal settings. Clock hours will be offered.
Masks are optional, but we strongly encourage all eligible participants to wear masks and be fully vaccinated for the health and safety of our community. If you are sick or experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19, please stay home.
