Join exhibiting artist Antonio M. Gómez as he traces the lineage of world music to unexpected places. From the galleries in the Frye Art Museum, to top 40 radio stations, front porch singalongs to ancient worlds, we’ll journey through the lines that connect it all.
About the Presenters
Antonio Gómez is a Chicano-Italian son of the American West who has studied across Latin America and in Morocco, Spain, and Italy. He designs arts education programs and curricula as the director of community engagement and extended learning at Tacoma Arts Live, and has produced performing arts and curricular content for universities and PBS. He currently serves as an associate folklorist for the Washington Center for Cultural Traditions.
