Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness Meditation

Cultivate your present-moment awareness through mindful breathing and restful stillness. Practicing mindfulness through meditation can ease tension, calm the mind, and enhance your experience of art. In these 30-minute guided sessions, practice in community and restore balance within a busy day.

The Frye offers free, 30-minute drop-in sessions of Mindfulness Meditation sessions on the first and third Wednesday of each month. The upcoming three sessions will be facilitated by Sao Uomoto.

Registration is not required, and all are welcome.

About the Facilitator

Sao Uomoto has been teaching mindfulness meditation for the past decade in hospitals and retirement communities. In the hospital, he facilitates one-on-one sessions as a therapeutic intervention, as well as group exercises to help teach coping skills and immediate calming practices.  He is currently the chaplain at Skyline Seattle, a continuing care retirement community, where he facilitates regular meditation practices, including loving-kindness, mindfulness, and guided sensory meditations.

A special thank you to 4Culture for supporting our free and low-cost public programs.
